Tennis/Fitness Staff


Marcus hails from Sydney, Australia. Earning a full college scholarship to Austin Peay State University (Divison I), Marcus played #1 singles and was also an esteemed MVP. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness and has been coaching since 1996. In Sydney, Marcus worked alongside the Davis Cup coach with Tennis Australia in their talent identification program. In America, he has worked at esteemed programs such as The John Newcombe Tennis Ranch (Texas), and The New Albany Country Club (Tennis Industry Association’s rated #1 Private facility in the country).

Before his arrival at CCR, Marcus spent 8 years as Adult Director at the Windward Lake Club, where he successfully coached club level players and juniors through to national and professional standards. Most recently, Marcus was appointed the position of the Cadillac Tennis Director for the Southeast: planning and running tennis clinics alongside former greats of the game. In 2011, Marcus won the United States Professional Tennis Association’s Southern seminar contest and has been the presenting speaker for the Georgia Professional Tennis Association. Certified as a USPTA P-1, Marcus also serves as Vice President of the state chapter board. Marcus lives in Alpharetta with his wife and two children.



Mike Early grew up in Roswell Georgia. A top 20 ranked junior in the South, he played competitive National tennis and trained at Universal Tennis Academy.
Mike started his career at Dunwoody Country Club and Brookfield Country Club. Most recently Mike has been teaching both adults and juniors at Smoke Rise Country Club. Mike enjoys working with all levels of adults and juniors. He is a USPTA certified professional and particularly likes to focus on grassroots development of players, bringing lots of energy to the ever  growing tennis program.



Shannan Gaudette grew up in Alpharetta, graduating from Marist High School and the University of Georgia. She was the number 1 ranked singles and doubles player for all four years at the University of Georgia. She was a 7 time All-American and an NCAA singles Finalist.  Shannan continues to hold the record at 105 singles wins for the most wins in school history.  After her successful college career, she played on the Women’s Professional tour for 6 years, achieving a world ranking of top 150 in singles and top 60 in doubles.  As a touring pro, Shannan won several Satellite events and competed in all four Grand Slams. In 2013, as recognition of her on court and tennis teaching accomplishments, she was inducted into the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame.

Since her competitive playing days, Shannan has spent over 15 years coaching adults and juniors of all levels. She worked for 4 years as the Head Professional at the Lexington Tennis Club running the adult and Junior Excellence program. She then moved back to Atlanta where she taught at the Tennis Academy of the South. During this time, she coached adult and Junior ALTA and USTA teams to State and Sectional Championships and a National Final. Shannan most recently coached the 14u National Junior Zonals team representing the Southern section.

Shannan is married to Mike and has 4 children. Her daughter, Karson, is 15 years old and a set of triplets, Brendan, Haley, and Caden are 14.  



Bonnie Weaver has been the Tennis Shop Manager since January 2002. She enjoys playing tennis, as well as helping the membership with their tennis needs. Bonnie's background is in Fashion Merchandising. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Bill, and two kids, Nikki and Brad.




Katie Spence grew up in the Roswell area, just down the street from CCR. A Certified Personal Trainer through American College of Sports Medicine with over five years of experience. Also, five years of injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation through work as a Certified Athletic Trainer incorporating an injury prevention model with all aspects of sport and fitness. She obtained her Bachelor’s in athletic training from Georgia College and received her master’s degree in Exercise Science from Marshall University. 

She applies biomechanics and physiology by providing appropriate fitness and metabolic assessments.  Also, throughout her workouts she incorporates proper form and injury prevention techniques into her training sessions. She has a passion for prenatal women and has a prenatal exercise certification. She also likes working to help you lose weight and encourages a healthy lifestyle for all aspects of life; physical, mental, spiritual. Katie is excited to be a part of the CCR staff and is excited for the growth of the fitness program.

Katie currently resides in Sugar Hill, GA with her husband and daughter. In her free-time she like to be outdoors, hiking, kayaking, laying in a hammock reading a good book with her husband, daughter and her dogs. She also will take a yoga or dance class on occasion. Come train with Katie.  She will make you a better, healthier you!



The three key components of a healthy lifestyle are cardiovascular activity, a well-balanced nutrition plan, and strength training. No matter what your fitness goals are, with the right motivation and accountability anyone can succeed. Exercise and nutrition are the cornerstones for a healthier and happier body and mind. 
I  develop sport specific programs for a wide variety of needs – from the 12-year-old who is preparing for football season, to the 60-year-old who is trying to improve his or her golf game. Programs for the person who is beginning exercise to a more experienced exerciser who simply needs more accountability and motivation.

Rebecca Lewis is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. She became fascinated with the Neuro-musculoskeletal System during her time as a Pilates student and loved helping other students learn how to achieve a greater mind body connection. As her passion for assisting others grew, so did her desire for more knowledge and a career in the fitness industry. Upon becoming a personal trainer, Rebecca began specializing in corrective exercise and has enjoyed helping others learn how to exercise properly and enhance their body composition. Currently, Rebecca is studying to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and plans on combining her love for fitness with a career in medicine to help individuals live life to the fullest in the most healthy way possible.
