Judson Collegiate 2017

The Judson Collegiate is held annually at the Country Club of Roswell. The Judson Collegiate is a world ranked stroke play event that features many of the top women college golfers from around the county.

The event honors Jim and Beth Judson, long time members of Country Club of Roswell. In 2010, upon returning from daughter Lauren’s college golf tournament, they were tragically killed in a small plane crash. Lauren and her brother Dean wanted to honor their parent’s memory and legacy of giving by forming the JCI Foundation. The JCI Foundation’s mission supports young women through leadership training, positive mentorship and sport. Jim was an avid golfer and Beth was a huge proponent of women’s education.

Today, the JCI Foundation has impacted the lives of hundreds of women through the Judson Collegiate and the Judson Women’s Leadership Conference. Women from all over region and country have participated, volunteered and interned at these events.

The CCR membership has been most supportive of the Judson children and the events. In 2016, the Judson Collegiate was won by our own Amanda Doherty, who is a freshman at Florida State.
